Inspired by the labels of markets, shops and shop windows in Barcelona, this collection of Flavio Morais is born, purely Mediterranean.
Silkscreen 4 flat inks on Tintoretto Neve 300gr paper by Fedrigoni.
Size 30x40 cm.
Limited series, 25 units signed and numbered.
(Sao Paulo) has been living in Barcelona for over 25 years, but he is still Brazilian to the core.
He started working in Sao Paulo for a silk screen printing studio, then went to London to study at the Chelsea School of Art and finally landed in Barcelona in the early 80's.
His work is a direct reflection of his passion for Brazilian, African and Mexican popular culture, but he also refers repeatedly to the great prominence that music occupies in his life.
Flavio is an illustrator in its purest form, and applies his talent to the most diverse formats: books (publishers Abril, Simon & Schuster, Companhia das Letras, Kalandraka), advertising (Levi's, Fiorucci, Lee, ONCE), magazines and newspapers (The New Yorker Magazine, Vogue, Marie Claire, The New Republic magazine, Playboy, La Vanguardia, El País, El Mundo), product design (boxes for Camper, cups, curtains for bathrooms and aprons for Cha-Chá, watches for Watchcelona) , animation pieces (Canal +, Volkswagen, Coca-Cola) and large-scale murals (Soon in Tokyo agency, Negroni cocktail bar, Sampaka store, Ravalo restaurant). Apart from the custom work, he made several solo and group exhibitions.
