(Sao Paulo) has been living in Barcelona for more than 25 years, but still remains Brazilian to the core.
He started working in Sao Paulo for a screen printing studio for t-shirts, then went to London to study at the Chelsea School of Art and finally landed in Barcelona in the early 1980's.
His work is a direct reflection of his passion for Brazilian, African and Mexican popular culture, but he also recalls the great role that music plays in his life.
Flavio is a pure illustrator, and applies his talent to the most diverse formats: books (April, Simon & Schuster, Companhia das Letras, Kalandraka), advertising (Levi's, Fiorucci, Lee, ONCE), magazines and newspapers New Yorker Magazine, Vogue, Marie Claire, The New Republic magazine, Playboy, La Vanguardia, El País, El Mundo), product design (Camper boxes, cups, bath curtains and Cha-Cha aprons, Watchcelona watches) , Animation pieces (Canal +, Volkswagen, Coca-Cola) and large-scale murals (Soon in Tokyo agency, Negroni cocktail shop, Sampaka shop, Ravalo restaurant). Apart from the custom work, he held several solo and group exhibitions.
